Marie Rose Emond (later Fournier) was a native of Biddeford. A 1922 graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, she taught piano from her home on Pool Street, and daughter Cecile Fournier (graduate of St. Andre High School) played as well. This collection of about 45 books of piano sheet music evidently are from Mrs. Fournier's Conservatory studies and teaching practice. A number of the books are stamped or printed by music shops in Biddeford, Portland, and Canada as well. There is music in English and in French. |
