Two women of the Dearborn family, a Black housemaid, a dog and a horse-drawn carriage in Saco or Biddeford, circa 1875. Note on photo states: "one of the two woman in the buggy is Laura Allen, daughter of Amos Allen, who was a U.S. Congressman (1899-1911) from Maine. She brought her servant from Washington called Manny. Photo was taken in front of the Lord House on Elm Street, possibly in Saco." [Note written in the 1930's-1940's] |
