Postcard titled: E-1077. "The Eagles Nest", Biddeford Pool, Me." Mailed to Miss Elsie R. Rowley of Biddeford Pool from Marion (no last name given), dated June 10, 1912. Note on the front reads: "Mr. Worthen says he will exchange with Mr. P. some Sunday later on and he and Mrs. W. will go down in Mr. Tibbett's boat. Won't it be great? Had a good Children's Day concert yesterday." Back reads: "Biddeford Me., June 10, '12. Dear Elsie: Just a line or two this mornging. Was sorry that we didn't get down there yesterday. It was a beautifyl day for a sail but the engine wasn't running very good. I had your umbrella fixed and it looks like new. It is too bad Wallace didn't take lamp glass with him Rose may need it but I'll get it down to her the first chance I get. Love Marion." A note on the side reads: "I have your curling-iron too. Don't give up hopes of ever getting your things." |
