Description |
St. Francis College and High School, Pool Road, at mouth of Saco River, 1954. The development of this school was begun in 1934, and the first high school class was graduated in 1941. First college class graduated in June 1954. On the other side of the river can be seen the Camp Ellis Pier. "The small pier at left was known as the Town Landing and near it was Indian Spring. The point in center [adjacent to baseball field] was Jordan's Point." -Mr. Warren Thompson, circa 1955. This photograph appeared in the publication "Church World", probably about 1954. |
