Industrial building of the Biddeford Building Association, 24 State Street, Biddeford. Home of the Bruce Shoe Company and Mitchell Shoe Company. The building was built in by Bell Bros. of Salem, Mass. in 1917 to make "women's turned comfort shoes". It was designed by Burnham and Higgins of Portland, Maine.
