Walter E. Perkins in his role as Lieutenant George Washington Newman (or Toppy) in the 3 act farce "Who Goes There?", written by friend H.A. DuSouchet. The show played to mixed reviews on Broadway and toured around the United States for a year. Perkins played multiple parts in the play, including the role of "Cousin Jane from Biddeford, Maine" which he played in drag.
